The Gypsy Cats have built an eclectic repertoire of originals and standards: up-tempo swing, gypsy bossa, traditional jazz ballads and French waltz.
The Musicians: Roberto Fontana trumpet, Emma Hales double bass, Mircha Mangiacotti guitar, Rodrigo Santiago guitar.

The Gypsy Cats started busking around the streets of Brisbane in 2016 and since then have become one of Queensland’s best known gypsy jazz bands, having played countless live music venues and festivals around the state.Some recent highlights include the latest edition of Woodford Folk Festival (2022/23), as well Brisbane Festival (2022), and OzManouche at the Brisbane Jazz Club (2020 & 2021). They currently hold a year-long monthly residency at The Bearded Lady in West End, consistently packing the venue with punters of all ages, backgrounds, and music tastes.

The Gypsy Cats are also well loved amongst the local swing dancing community, who enjoy the challenge of performing their skilful moves to the quartet’s fast paced tunes.

The Gypsy Cats deliver exciting and energetic sets that will have you spell-bound from beginning to the end.

Some things to know to book our concerts online:

• We use tryBooking for our online bookings. It is easy to use and has an option to choose your table when making a booking. You can see the table numbers by clicking on “View venue plan” on the right hand side of the ticketing panel.
• The number of seats available for each table is automatically adjusted as bookings are made.
• If you wish to sit with a group of your friends, please let them know the table number you have chosen so that they can make their booking on the same table.
• If you want to make a whole table booking you must buy all seats in the one purchase.
• There is no allocated seating for the Mezzanine and there will be up to 12 unallocated chairs available in the downstairs area.

Seating Preference

• There is a choice of seating, either on the ground floor with table and chairs or upstairs on the mezzanine chairs.
• If you would like to be seated with certain people, please contact them and ask them to nominate their preference to be seated on your table when making their on-line booking.
• There are 7 seats per table.

When you book you need: 

• Your credit card – you can only use 1 credit card or PayPal account for your booking.

• Names of any people you wish to be seated with
